75 Hard Day 12
Started the day off making breakfast and then heading to church.
When we got back I had my coffee pick me up and went down to the basement and worked out a bit.
The Packers were playing tonight and I could not just sit and watch it so I walked it out cause that game was so stressful. I mean how many stinking injuries and don't get me started on that first turnover of the game.
NIXON HAD THE BALL!
I digress, Atomic Habits is still incredibly enjoyable, it's forcing me to remind myself that 1% matters in the long run even if it seems like it's doesn't now.
I hope you all had an incredible weekend and set your intentions for the upcoming week

It’s funny how some days on the 75 Hard challenge feel tougher than others, isn't it? My Day 12 felt like a classic example – starting strong with a good routine, then hitting a wall of stress, courtesy of that Packers game! But that’s exactly where the 'hard' in 75 Hard truly kicks in, and where we learn to push through. The feeling of "game is hard" isn't just for sports; it perfectly describes those moments in 75 Hard when motivation wanes, or external factors throw you off. For me, walking it out during the stressful game was my way of managing that energy and ensuring I still got my movement in. It’s a great reminder that workouts don’t always have to be intense gym sessions; sometimes, it’s just about moving your body and clearing your head. One of the biggest lessons I’m taking from 'Atomic Habits' during this challenge is exactly what I mentioned: that 1% improvement, day in and day out, truly matters. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer scale of 75 Hard – two workouts, gallon of water, strict diet, reading, no alcohol, progress pic... daily! But thinking of it as thousands of tiny, consistent actions makes it much more manageable. Did I get my reading in? Yes. Did I finish my water? Yes. Did I move my body? Yes. Each 'yes' is a small win, a 1% gain that builds momentum. For anyone feeling like their 'game is hard 75' or even 'game is hard 74' (and every day in between!), my advice is to focus on those micro-habits. Don't aim for perfection, aim for consistency. Maybe today you just manage to get through your first outdoor workout, or you stick to your water goal. That’s enough. That’s progress. And that’s how you build that unbreakable discipline. Integrating these demands into a busy life, especially for those of us juggling work, family, and personal goals, requires planning. My morning routine, for example, sets the tone. Knowing I have my coffee pick-me-up after church helps me transition into my workout. Find those little anchors in your day. Schedule your workouts like important appointments. Lay out your clothes the night before. Pre-prepare your meals. These might seem like tiny details, but they are the bedrock of consistency. The phrase from my image, "I LOVE (MY BODY)" really resonates with me on this journey. 75 Hard isn’t just about physical transformation; it's about building mental resilience and fostering a deeper appreciation for what your body can do. Even on Day 12, when I’m getting stressed watching a game, I can still choose to move my body, giving it the care it deserves. It’s about cultivating self-love through discipline, recognizing that taking care of yourself is an act of love, not punishment. So, as we head into another week, remember to set your intentions. What small, 1% improvements can you make today that will contribute to your long-term success? How can you show your body some love, even when the 'game is hard'? Let’s keep pushing, one day at a time!
