stuff I bought at Goodwill part 3
some more stuffed animals that I bought
Oh my goodness, you guys! I just have to share the excitement of my latest Goodwill adventure. There's truly nothing quite like the thrill of rummaging through shelves and finding a hidden gem, especially when it comes to plush toys and stuffed animals. Every trip feels like a treasure hunt, and this time, my basket was overflowing with some truly adorable finds! For me, thrifting isn't just about saving money; it's about giving these pre-loved cuddly friends a second chance at a loving home. Plus, finding unique and sometimes even vintage pieces that you wouldn't see in a regular store is just so rewarding. I'm always on the lookout for plush goodwill toys that have character, and my recent haul definitely delivered. So, how do I find these amazing goodwill plush treasures? My top tip is to always inspect carefully! I look for clean, well-maintained stuffed animals without any major tears or stains. Sometimes you'll find ones with their original tags, which is a bonus, especially if you're looking for specific brands. On this trip, I was ecstatic to find a lovely light blue plush, a charming yellow stuffed animal, and even a white stuffed animal that might have been a bear, complete with what looked like a little Santa hat – so festive! When I'm sifting through the bins, I keep an eye out for specific characters or animals that catch my eye. You never know what you'll stumble upon! This time, I spotted a small, light pink stuffed pig with the sweetest blue eyes, and right next to it, a cool brown stuffed dinosaur resembling a T-Rex. And the absolute highlight? A blue stuffed animal that looked just like Stitch! You can imagine my excitement. It's these kinds of unique finds that make every visit to Goodwill so worthwhile. Once I get my new friends home, I always give them a good clean. For most plushies, a gentle cycle in the washing machine inside a pillowcase with cold water and mild detergent works wonders. For more delicate ones, or those with electronic parts, a spot clean with a damp cloth and a bit of fabric freshener does the trick. After they're sparkling clean and air-dried, they're ready to join my collection or find a special spot in my home. It’s such a simple way to add some joy and personality to my space without breaking the bank. If you haven't tried thrifting for stuffed animals, I highly recommend it – you might just find your next favorite cuddle buddy!
