When I was sketching her, I thought a lot about how to describe this look. You can see in these pencil drawings she’s got a thoughtful side, complete with glasses and a little bow in her hair, often holding her trusty bucket. But then there’s her other side, the one with the angry expression, sharp teeth, and that bold, off-shoulder top with a skirt and boots. That contrast is super important to me because it shows her complexity. I love playing with these different facets – she's not just one thing, you know? Speaking of her look, I've had a few comments comparing her to "Lizzie KNY OC vibes," especially with certain outfits. It's funny because when I was designing her, I wasn't directly thinking of that, but I can totally see where you might get that impression! Maybe it's the combination of fierce attitude and a distinct style. I think it’s cool how different characters can evoke similar feelings, even if they're completely original. I wanted her to be recognizable, but still uniquely Rose. Now, for those of you asking 'how to color it' – that's a fantastic question! Right now, she's in her pencil sketch phase, but I've got so many ideas for bringing her to life with color. I'm thinking about using a palette that highlights her dual nature: perhaps softer, warmer tones for her thoughtful side, and bolder, more intense colors like deep reds or purples for her fiery, angry moments. I'm still experimenting with different art mediums – maybe digital art to really make those sharp teeth pop, or even watercolors for a softer, more whimsical touch. If you have any suggestions on how you'd color her, I'd love to hear them! It's always super helpful to get other artists' perspectives. Her name, Rose, actually has a few layers to it. While roses can be beautiful and delicate, they also have thorns, symbolizing protection and a bit of a fierce side – just like my OC! It felt like the perfect fit for her.
