Randomness of Tëë

As my two-year c-section anniversary and my daughter’s second birthday approach, I can’t help but think, time flew by. Yes, I know that sounds cliché, but if I’m being honest, I still remember the day I took that first pregnancy test.

One summer day, I decided to take a pregnancy test. If you lead an active lifestyle, you’ve probably taken one or two in the past six months. I thought this would be just like the others—NEGATIVE. But nope. That test said POSITIVE. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach. I was sitting in that bathroom, holding the test at 6 a.m., tears streaming down my face. I called my friend, crying, and that was all I could do at first. I just needed a moment to sit with my feelings because I knew the reality of it all was about to hit. I had a big decision to make—one I couldn’t take lightly, with no opinions from anyone else, not even my child’s father.

I took two more tests to be 100% sure. (Honestly, even that wasn’t enough. I ended up going to the ER a few days later). You’re probably wondering, “How many tests did it take?” Four, to be exact! Lol.

I can laugh about it now—it was a bit excessive, but hey, better safe than sorry, right?

Welcome to another random thought from Tia.
