We Fall. We Break. We Fail. But With Jesus…

Yes, we fall. Every soul born under Adam’s curse stumbles beneath the crushing weight of sin (Romans 3:23). We break—under pressure, under sorrow, under shame. We fail—over and over again, because apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Our flesh is weak, our hearts are deceitful, and our works are like filthy rags (Jeremiah 17:9; Isaiah 64:6).

But Jesus.

Jesus never fell. He never broke under temptation. He never failed His Father. He obeyed perfectly, suffered willingly, and rose triumphantly—so that sinners like us could be redeemed completely. By His wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

By His power, we rise (Ephesians 2:5–6).

By His Spirit, we overcome (1 John 5:4).

If you are in Christ, your story is no longer defined by your fall, your pain, or your failure. It is defined by His victory.

We fall—but He lifts us (Psalm 145:14).

We break—but He binds up our wounds (Psalm 147:3).

We fail—but He remains faithful (2 Timothy 2:13).

In Jesus, we rise—for He has raised us with Him.

In Jesus, we heal—for His grace is sufficient.

In Jesus, we overcome—for He has conquered sin, death, and the grave.

The gospel is not about being strong enough. It's about knowing you're not—and trusting the One who is.

Cling to Christ. Rest in His finished work. Walk in resurrection power. Because with Jesus, we don’t just survive. We triumph.

“But thanks be to GOD, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

—1 Corinthians 15:57

... Read moreWe all know that feeling, don't we? That gut-wrenching moment when you fall, when your spirit feels utterly broken, or when you face a failure so big it threatens to swallow you whole. I’ve been there more times than I can count – in my career, in relationships, and even in my own walk of faith. It’s a universal human experience to stumble, to feel the weight of our imperfections, and to sometimes question if we can ever get back up. The original post beautifully reminds us of our human condition: 'We fall. We break. We fail.' And honestly, sometimes it feels like that's the whole story. But then there’s that powerful, life-changing conjunction: 'But with Jesus.' This isn’t just a theological statement; it’s a lived reality that has transformed my life, and I believe it can transform yours too. When I was at my lowest, feeling utterly defeated, it was the unwavering truth of His presence that truly shifted my perspective. So, how does this actually play out in our daily lives? How do we rise when we feel crushed? For me, it starts with a simple, honest prayer. It's not about eloquent words, but a raw cry from the heart, acknowledging my weakness and inviting His strength. I remember a time I failed spectacularly at a project I poured my heart into. The shame was immense. But instead of spiraling, I turned to scripture, finding comfort in verses like Psalm 145:14, which says, 'The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.' It wasn't an instant fix, but a gradual lifting of my spirit, enabling me to see the lesson, not just the loss. Rising isn't always a dramatic leap; sometimes it's just taking that one small step forward in faith, knowing He's steadying your footing. Then there’s the incredible process of how we heal. Our falls and failures often leave deep emotional wounds. We carry the burden of regret, self-blame, and sometimes even bitterness. I struggled for years with the pain of past mistakes, constantly replaying them in my mind. True healing for me began when I truly grasped the concept of forgiveness, not just from God, but learning to forgive myself. It's powerful to surrender those broken pieces to Him, trusting that He is the ultimate binder of wounds, as Psalm 147:3 promises. It’s a journey, not a destination, but with every step of faith, the healing light shines brighter. And finally, the ultimate promise: we overcome. Life will continue to throw challenges our way. We will face new falls, experience new breaks, and inevitably encounter more failures. But the beauty of having Jesus in our lives is that we don't face them alone, and our identity isn't defined by those setbacks. Instead, our story becomes one of triumph. I've learned that overcoming isn't about avoiding struggle; it's about walking through it with an unshakeable faith, knowing that His power is at work within me. It’s about remembering 1 John 5:4, that 'everyone born of God overcomes the world.' It’s realizing that even in defeat, there's a victory being forged. So, if you’re currently feeling overwhelmed by your falls, your breaks, or your failures, please know this: your story isn't over. Cling to that truth. Lean into His grace. Because with Jesus, every stumble becomes a setup for His strength, every wound an opportunity for His healing, and every failure a stepping stone towards a deeper, more profound triumph. It's not about being strong enough yourself, but about trusting the One who is always more than enough.
