PIER into the eternal abyss with open eyes: this is not a riddle, but a warning from the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
You can build empires. You can hold kingdoms in the palm of your hand. You can earn prestige, wealth, status, even applause from millions. But if you die without CHRIST, you lose everything.
EVERYTHING.
What good is your mansion when you're cast into eternal fire?
What value is your portfolio when your soul is sentenced to wrath?
What use is your name on a skyscraper when your name is not written in the LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE?
GOD sees through the delusion of worldly success. He is not impressed by your trophies or your bank account. He is HOLY. He is RIGHTEOUS. And He demands your soul—not to destroy it, but to redeem it through the blood of JESUS CHRIST.
To gain the whole world is to climb a ladder propped against the edge of hell.
Hear this:
Your soul is eternal. The world is passing away (1 John 2:17).
Your soul is immortal. Earthly treasure is dust (Matthew 6:19).
Your soul will stand before GOD. All else will burn (2 Peter 3:10).
So I ask you—no, GOD asks you:
What will you give in exchange for your soul? (Mark 8:37)
Will it be your career? Your sexual sin? Your pride? Your comfort?
REPENT.
Turn from your sin. Run to the cross. Cry out to CHRIST, the only One who can save (Acts 4:12). He gave up the glories of heaven to purchase your soul with His own blood.
Do not barter eternity for a few short years of self-worship. Do not be like Judas, who traded the Savior for silver—he got his silver... and he got hell.
GOD is not mocked. Judgment is coming (Hebrews 9:27).
Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Will you live for your soul or for your stuff?
CHOOSE CHRIST—OR LOSE EVERYTHING.
In a world obsessed with material gain, the question posed in Mark 8:36 resonates deeply: "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" This biblical inquiry challenges us to reconsider our priorities. Many pursue wealth, status, and possession, believing these bring fulfillment. Yet, they often overshadow the more critical pursuit of a righteous relationship with God. The scriptures remind us that this earthly life is temporary, but the soul is eternal. The story of Judas serves as a cautionary tale; his betrayal for silver led to profound remorse, illustrating the dangers of valuing fleeting gains over eternal salvation. Jesus' sacrifice offers a path to redemption, emphasizing that true wealth lies in a saved soul rather than in material possessions. As we navigate our daily lives, it's essential to reflect on what truly matters and make choices aligned with our eternal destiny.
