Nike Pro Shorts… are they acceptable?
I am literally in my own house. My boyfriend lives with me and so does his cousin.
I came home from a trip, put my nike pro shorts on and walked out to grab my things. My boyfriend literally grabbed my arm (gently) and asked if I could put on something else. He said it’s because his friends are coming over (WHO I LITERALLY KNOW).
My argument is it’s my house and I should be able to wear what I want. On top of that, these are worn by loads of girls/women out and about. They are publicly acceptance in my mind.
He says they’re boxers and that they aren’t publicly acceptable.
Who’s right in your opinion? Let me know. I’m real pissed about this, plus I’m wearing an oversized shirt bro.
Okay, so my recent experience with my boyfriend and my Nike Pro shorts really got me thinking about this ongoing debate. It seems like everyone has an opinion on whether these athletic shorts, with their distinctive 'NIKE PRO' visible on the waistband, are truly meant to be worn as standalone bottoms, or if they're more akin to undergarments. From what I've seen, so many girls are asking, 'can I wear Nike Pro shorts by myself?' or 'is it okay to wear Nike Pros in public?' And honestly, why wouldn't you? They're incredibly comfortable, designed for movement, and let's be real, they look good! For me, the 'point of Nike Pros' is their functionality and how they make you feel confident during a workout or just lounging at home. They're not just some 'nike pros naked' or 'nike pro sex' item, as some search queries might suggest, but a popular piece of athletic wear. If you're wondering how to make them feel more 'public-ready' if you want to wear Nike Pro shorts alone, I've got a few tips from my own trial and error. Pairing them with an oversized graphic tee, a cropped hoodie, or even a long cardigan can totally change the vibe. It balances out the shorter length and makes the outfit feel more intentional and less like you just rolled out of bed (even if you did!). Think of it as embracing the athleisure trend fully. Adding cool sneakers and a fanny pack or a cross-body bag can also elevate the look, making it clear these are your chosen shorts, not just something you threw on. I think a lot of the confusion comes from how form-fitting they are and the material. But if you look at the design, these are meant to be performance wear. So why are Nike Pro shorts so popular? Besides comfort, I believe it's their versatility and the fact that they allow for a full range of motion, which is crucial for any athletic activity. And let's not forget the brand recognition – Nike is a giant in sportswear for a reason! Ultimately, whether you feel comfortable wearing your Nike Pro shorts alone, whether at home, out for a walk, or at the gym, is a personal choice. But it's clear from comments and conversations that this topic sparks a lot of discussion. What's your take? When do you think it's acceptable to wear them, and when do you think maybe a different pair of shorts is in order? I'm genuinely curious about everyone else's perspectives on this fashion dilemma that seems to affect so many of us.

I literally don't get why you can't. and also I wore them to school, I was fully covered, and I had a female teacher comment on them to a male teacher and multiple guys in my grade were saying they liked my shorts. I went home crying cz I why can't I wear the things other girls wear? just cuz I'm not flat.
