Older Kandi projects I made ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Kandi fam! I wanted to share some of my favorite Kandi projects and hopefully inspire you to create something amazing too. There's just something so rewarding about turning simple pony beads into unique wearables and gifts. It's a fantastic way to express creativity and connect with others. One of my absolute go-to designs, which always gets compliments, is the mushroom kandi. It’s such a classic! I often use red and grey pony beads to capture that quintessential look, creating a vibrant red cap with grey spots and a sturdy grey stem. For the cap, I usually lean towards a circular peyote stitch or even a simple flat square pattern that you can then shape. The stem can be built up using a ladder stitch, making sure it’s stable enough to support the cap. Don't be afraid to experiment with colors! Imagine a blue cap with white spots, or even glow-in-the-dark beads for a fun twist at a rave or festival. They make fantastic cuffs or even standalone charms for necklaces. Another project I adore crafting is the 3D heart kandi. This one feels a bit more advanced but is incredibly satisfying once completed. My recent one, made from red and pink pony beads, really pops. The challenge and beauty often lie in creating that hollow center, which gives the heart its full, intricate shape. Techniques like cubic right angle weave (CRAW) or specific 3D patterns are perfect for achieving this. It takes a little patience, especially when you're forming the curves and joining different sections, but the result is a beautiful, sculptural piece of beadwork. These 3D hearts can be worn as pendants, added to larger cuffs, or even given as special gifts. They’re a wonderful way to show appreciation. Speaking of unique designs, I’ve also had fun experimenting with pretzel-themed hearts! Using alternating brown and beige pony beads, you can create a really cute and quirky design. It’s a great example of how simple color combinations can bring a theme to life. These are perfect for bracelets or even as little keychains. For anyone just starting with kandi projects or looking to expand their skills, here are a few quick tips: Start Simple: Begin with single bracelets or simple cuffs before tackling more complex 3D designs. Quality Beads & String: Invest in good quality pony beads – they come in so many colors and finishes! And always use a strong, stretchy elastic cord for bracelets to ensure durability. Learn Different Stitches: Explore various beadweaving stitches like peyote, ladder, and brick stitch. YouTube tutorials are your best friend here! Get Inspired: Look at other people's Kandi. What patterns, colors, and themes do you love? Don't be afraid to take inspiration and put your own spin on it. Share the Love: The best part about Kandi is trading it! Make extra to give away and spread smiles. I hope these insights into some of my favorite kandi projects give you some fresh ideas and encouragement. Happy beading, everyone!

um that's a star at the end and the pretzel thing isn't a heart
