Wedding Decor - Vases

We bought a ton of vases from goodwill and have been spray painting them this nice golden color and they’ve turned out so good.

It’s such a quick easy task too! I definitely suggest this if you want specific colored vases. Goodwill always has tons and these will even look good in your house after if you need vases.

Just set up cardboard boxes and spray paint the outsides of the glasses and let them dry for about an hour. Do a second coat and then get a clear coat to seal them.

Can’t wait to show you what they look like put together!

My experience with thrifted vases and metallic gold spray paint was incredibly rewarding, and I truly believe anyone can achieve stunning results on a budget. Let me share some more tips on how to make those DIY gold bud vases truly shine, especially for your round table centerpieces. First, let's talk about why bud vases are an absolute dream for wedding decor. Their smaller size makes them incredibly versatile. You can arrange them individually or group several together to create a fuller look without overwhelming the table. For a truly elegant bud vase centerpiece on a round table, consider using a mix of different shapes and heights you found among your thrifted vases. Imagine three or five gold-painted vases of varying sizes clustered together. This creates visual interest and depth. For the blooms, single stems or small, delicate arrangements work best. Think sprigs of baby's breath, delicate roses, carnations, ranunculus, or even dried pampas grass for a bohemian touch. A little greenery, like eucalyptus or olive branches, can beautifully complement the metallic gold finish. When arranging your bud vase centerpieces specifically for round tables, think about how guests will interact with them. You want your decor to enhance, not obstruct, conversation. Keep the taller vases towards the center and shorter ones fanned out. You can also incorporate other elements, like small votive candles or fairy lights, nestled among the vases to add a warm, inviting glow. The gold-painted vases catch the light beautifully, especially with candles, creating a really romantic atmosphere. Now, about those 'idee deco vase avec sable' or vase decoration ideas with sand – while my project focused on achieving that sleek metallic gold spray paint look, there's absolutely room to incorporate other textures! If you have some clear glass vases among your thrift store finds that you didn't spray paint, or even if you want to diversify, filling them with decorative sand can add a wonderful earthy element. Imagine layering natural-colored sand with small pebbles or even colored sand that matches your wedding palette. These can stand alone or be mixed in with your gold-painted vases. You could even place a single flower stem directly into the sand-filled vase (using a small water tube if needed to keep the flower fresh). This gives a lovely contrasting texture and an organic feel, complementing the glamour of the gold. It's all about playing with different elements to create a cohesive yet dynamic look for your wedding decor. Don't be afraid to experiment with fillers like sand, water beads, or even coffee beans for a unique aroma and visual appeal in some of your thrifted vases. The key is to make it uniquely yours!
