Bisexual people exist

From personal experience and conversations within the LGBTQIA community, I've learned that bisexuality is much more complex and diverse than many might assume. It’s not just about being attracted to both men and women; it’s about a spectrum of attractions that can include different gender identities and expressions. Many bisexual people proudly identify as monogamous, polyamorous, or somewhere in between, showing that relationship styles vary widely and cannot be simplified. One misconception I often encountered is that bisexual individuals are confused or just going through a phase. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Bisexuality is a valid and stable sexual orientation. It can be tough to navigate due to social stereotypes and lack of understanding, but bisexual people deserve love and respect just like everyone else. Another important aspect is intersectionality. Bisexual people can also be non-binary, trans, or hold other identities, further enriching the community but also sometimes complicating their visibility. Being part of Pride and the broader LGBTQIA movement is crucial because bisexual voices are vital in pushing for inclusive representation. Education sometimes feels like a burden placed unfairly on bisexual individuals. While many are happy to share their stories, they shouldn’t be obligated to constantly defend their existence or validity. Instead, allies and the broader public should take initiative to learn without placing the responsibility on marginalized people. Ultimately, understanding bisexuality better helps break down stereotypes and build a more accepting environment. It’s about recognizing diversity in attraction, identity, and relationships while fostering empathy and respect for all.
