I think I’m pretty
A few weeks ago, some lady came to the restaurant I work at to eat obviously. She was so nice… well at first. As I was bringing her food to her and her husband, she commented that it looks like I should stay away from fast food and that I shouldn’t work at a restaurant because I’m FAT. I was very nice to her and told her that I’ve been struggling to lose weight due to being on birth control. She then commented that I was just making excuses for myself. I obviously was so upset but I do not think I’m fat… I’ve lost around 15 pounds so far. Which, to me is a lot! I can’t believe people have the nerve to say mean things like that to others. It’s so cruel. Obviously, I’m not where I want to be yet, I’m not skinny but that shouldn’t matter at all. All that matters is that I think I’m beautiful, and my boyfriend, friends and family think I’m gorgeous the way I am.

Sharing experiences of weight loss progress online, such as through hashtags like #weightlossprogress, can provide encouragement and a sense of community. The focus should shift from society’s standards to personal happiness and health.
