This is when the paralysis started
Just a few short days before the paralysis started, I was able to attend my goddaughter’s/niece pre-K graduation. I was so thankful for that.🙂
On June 28, 2022, the unthinkable happened—my body felt paralyzed after a typical morning. Just days before, I celebrated my goddaughter’s pre-K graduation, filled with joy and gratitude. However, that day, a sudden loss of sensation in my leg and excruciating pain altered my reality dramatically. As I rushed to the hospital, the days that followed were filled with confusion and worry. Doctors performed countless tests to determine what caused this abrupt and life-altering condition. Despite their efforts, initial assessments left me drugged and anxious, waiting for a diagnosis. I underwent procedures like spinal taps, which were painful and frustrating as they struggled to provide answers. With every step in the hospital, the journey confirmed the seriousness of my situation. Aside from the physical challenges, I faced emotional turmoil, grappling with the uncertainty of my future and how my condition would affect my quality of life. I have turned to online communities for support, discovering stories of others who have endured similar battles. This connection reminded me that I am not alone in this struggle; there are many survivors out there who have fought through similar hardships. Today, I strive to share my experience to raise awareness about paralysis and its profound impact. Through my journey, I hope to inspire and support others facing these life-altering challenges.
