This trip was such a needed little escape. First stop was of course In-N-Out solid 8/10, but honestly I’ll always stop there no matter what 😂. Then we headed to Sunset Boulevard before spending a whole day in Malibu. We even tried to find the Hannah Montana house… and absolutely did NOT find it lmao.
We hit the pier, and Malibu Farm was amazing everything tasted so fresh, definitely a must-try. And then… I had my Erewhon moment 😌. I tried the Hailey Bieber smoothie and it was SO worth it. I’m not even gonna lie, it tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie but somehow way better for you?? Idk how to explain it, but it lived up to the hype. Easy 9/10. My best friend got the Malibu drink with pineapple in it and it was actually fire honestly I think their smoothies overall are just really good.
We also went to Hollywood, which was cute but honestly like a 6/10 because it wasn’t exactly what I pictured in my head… but still fun to see. After that we went to The Grove and they were already setting up for Christmas 🎄 which made me so happy. I had to stop by Sephora, then we went to Barnes & Noble, and I grabbed La La Land because their matcha with that foam on top?? So good.
We ended the night at the Citadel Outlets where they had a giant lit-up tree and it was actually beautiful. And yeah that pretty much wraps up this little photo vlog. 🩵
I’m just really grateful and thankful to even be able to take a trip like this. I originally came to get my eyebrows microbladed, but I had to reschedule (totally my fault), which ended up giving us time to just enjoy everything. Feeling blessed for moments like this.🌟

If you're dreaming of palm trees, endless sunshine, and iconic sights, here are a few personal tips I learned that might help you kickstart your own 'let's go' moment and make the most of your California experience: 1. Embrace Spontaneity (But Have a Loose Plan!): While my trip was a happy accident, having a rough idea of what you want to see and do is key. For California, decide if you're hitting the famous beaches of Malibu, the bustling city buzz of Los Angeles, or perhaps venturing further. My article shares some of my favorite spots, like Malibu Farm (everything tasted so fresh!) and Erewhon – definitely add those to your list. Researching a few must-try restaurants or unique shops can elevate your experience without over-scheduling. 2. Don't Skip the Iconic Eats: You know I had to hit In-N-Out first thing! It's a classic for a reason, and a solid 8/10 in my book. And that Hailey Bieber smoothie at Erewhon? Totally lived up to the hype, tasting surprisingly good and fresh. It's still fun to soak in the atmosphere and snap some photos, especially if you're a film buff, just know it’s a working city. 4. Pack for All Seasons (Even in Cali): While we mostly think of California as sunny and warm, evenings can get surprisingly cool, especially by the coast in Malibu or even in downtown LA. I always pack layers – a light jacket or cardigan is a lifesaver. And comfortable walking shoes are an absolute must if you plan on exploring places like The Grove, the Citadel Outlets, or simply strolling down Sunset Boulevard. You'll be doing more walking than you think! 5. Capture the Memories from the Start: Whether it's a full photo vlog or just snapping pics on your phone, document your journey! From the moment you see those first California palm trees or the 'Let's go to California' text from your airplane window (just like my first shot!), to enjoying a delicious In-N-Out burger, these photos will be cherished memories.
