Am I a silver or gold girly?

... Read moreHey everyone! You know how I mentioned I'm constantly debating if I'm a 'silver girl' or a 'gold girl'? It's such a common dilemma, and I've been doing a little digging to figure out what really works for me. I usually gravitate towards silver, like my favorite silver nose ring and that delicate silver necklace you often see me wearing. But sometimes I wonder if I'm missing out on gold's warmth! One of the first things I learned is that it often comes down to your skin's undertone. Apparently, cool undertones usually sparkle in silver, while warm undertones really pop with gold. Neutral undertones get to have all the fun and can rock both! I've been trying a few simple tests at home. First, the 'vein test.' You look at the veins on your wrist in natural light. If they look blue or purple, you likely have cool undertones. If they look green, you're probably warm. If you see a mix or can't tell, you might be neutral. Mine seem a bit blue-ish, which makes sense why I naturally go for silver jewelry! Then there's the 'paper test.' Hold a plain white piece of paper next to your bare face. If your skin looks pink or rosy against it, you're cool. If it looks more yellow or peachy, you're warm. If it's hard to tell, again, you might be neutral. When I tried this, my skin definitely leaned a little pinker, further confirming the cool undertone theory. What about hair and eye color? I'm a blonde, and I often see blondes rocking both silver and gold beautifully. Some say cooler blondes might prefer silver, while warmer, honey-toned blondes might lean towards gold. My blue eyes seem to complement silver really well, but I’ve seen some stunning gold pairings with blue eyes too! It's less about strict rules and more about overall harmony. Beyond undertones, it’s also about personal preference and how the jewelry makes you *feel*. I've got a silver ring that I absolutely adore, and it feels like 'me.' But I've also been experimenting with layering a few delicate gold pieces to see how they blend, especially if I'm wearing a warmer-toned top. Sometimes it's fun to mix metals! Who says you have to pick just one side? Ultimately, this journey of figuring out if I'm a 'silver or gold girly' has taught me that while there are guidelines, personal style is paramount. If you feel fabulous in it, wear it! I'd love to hear if you've done these tests or what your go-to metal is. Do you stick to one, or do you mix and match? Let's chat – maybe your tips will help me fully embrace my jewelry identity!

hey! i’m a licensed hair stylist and i have a license in color analysis, and from the photos you showed you can wear both! you look to have a warmer undertone so you favor gold but your skin can still tolerate silver. Hope this helped!
