Unpopular opinion: Macarons are not hard to make 🍪

Recipe:

2 cups powder sugar

1 cups almond flour

3 eggs

1/3 cup granulated sugar

food coloring

Sift the powdered sugar and almond flour into a bowl and mix. Sucking is so important trust me lol. Then crack 3 eggs and remove the egg yolks and place them in a different bowl. Whisk the egg whites until there are stiff peaks, at this point also add the granulated sugar. You want them to be so stiff you can put the bowl over your head and nothing falls on you. At this point you can also add any food coloring you want but be careful bcz a little goes a long way and I personally did way too much. Next fold in the flour and powdered sugar mixture into the egg mixture in two different parts. Make sure not to over mix or your macaron shells will be hollow. Then pipe them onto a nonstick baking sheet. This is where you have to be careful they are in nice smooth circles. Some of mine were good but others were rougher but I think next time I’ll use a tooth pick to smoothen my circles. Then bake them at 315 for 20 mins. Then let them cool when you take them out. You can find a lot of different filling recipes but I made vanilla buttercream filling. That recipe consists of just mixing:

1/4 cup unsalted butter

3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 tsp milk

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
