my nails from every month of 2024 pt. 1 💅🏻

i started out the year with no acrylics, i wanted to grow out my natural nails, but as a bartender & server they kept breaking no matter what & long nails are just part of my identity 😅💅🏻 so ya girl got them back on for my birthday 🎂 in April & THEY ABSOLUTELY SLAYED.

one of my all time fav sets EVER 🔥 truly obsessed.

i genuinely hate having short, stubby nails so it makes me feel good having acrylics even though i know how damaging they can be. I use cuticle oil to keep them as healthy as I can. I’m just a sucker for length & designs. I love the creativity in nails & the endless possibilities you can do with them!!

Like for part 2!! 💖

I absolutely love experimenting with different styles, and while my journey started with trying to keep my natural nails healthy, I quickly found myself drawn to the elegance and versatility of acrylics that let me play with these popular looks. Let's talk about the 'Old Money' aesthetic. For me, it's all about understated elegance and timeless sophistication. Think classic, well-manicured hands that look effortlessly chic. When I was trying to grow out my natural nails earlier in the year, I was definitely aiming for that polished, 'barely there but perfect' look. It's not necessarily about extreme length, but more about health, shape, and precision. I found that keeping my nails a neat almond shape, similar to many of my later acrylic sets, and focusing heavily on cuticle care – just like I mentioned with my cuticle oil routine – really nails this vibe. Colors like sheer nudes, soft pinks (like my August set!), or even a very delicate, natural-looking French tip (like the one I rocked in February and May!) are key. It’s about that 'my nails, but better' feel. You want them to look strong, healthy, and perfectly shaped, whether they're natural or a subtle enhancement. Now, onto the super popular 'Milky White' trend! Oh my gosh, I am obsessed with this look. It’s so fresh, clean, and surprisingly versatile. I finally got to try a beautiful milky white translucent set in September, and it quickly became a favorite. What I love about milky white is that it’s not a stark opaque white, but rather a soft, slightly sheer white that gives your nails a smooth, almost porcelain-like finish. It really makes your hands look so clean and elegant. To get this look, I’ve found that using a good quality gel polish is often the best way to achieve that perfect translucent effect. Sometimes it takes a couple of thin coats to get the right level of opacity. It looks amazing on any nail shape, but I personally love it on my almond or square-shaped acrylics because it really enhances the length and shape without being too bold. It's definitely a go-to for a sophisticated yet trendy manicure! Whether you're going for the subtle luxury of 'Old Money' or the fresh vibe of 'Milky White,' remember that healthy nails are the best foundation. Keep up with that cuticle oil, and don't be afraid to experiment with different shapes and polishes to find what makes you feel amazing! There are truly endless possibilities for creative expression through our nails!
