Since we have just marked the end of H1 2026 , i figured i shall do a Mid year recap of my current portfolio til date ~

im damn lazy la so i don’t analyse markets blahblah so my “investments” are really mostly just parked funds that yields me some returns, aka almost 0 maintenance portfolio🤪

60k - Chocolate Finance 💰(1.85% ROI/mth)

10k - TigerBroker 💰(9%ROI thus far)

3k - OCBC 💰(<1%/mth)

... Read moreManaging a low-maintenance investment portfolio has been an eye-opening journey for me, especially as someone who prefers simplicity over constant market monitoring. I've found that focusing on a mix of fixed deposits and platform-based investments lets me earn returns without daily stress. For instance, the fixed deposit with a 12% annual ROI is a cornerstone of my portfolio, offering reliable returns with minimal effort. It's like having your money work quietly in the background. Then, platforms like Chocolate Finance provide monthly returns that add steady income, here about 1.85% per month. The key is choosing options that compound or pay regularly so you feel your money growing. TigerBroker's 9% ROI thus far has pleasantly surprised me, showing that even with a hands-off approach, opportunities for growth exist. Smaller allocations to OCBC and UOB yield less than 1% monthly but contribute to diversification and liquidity. IG Markets’ returns of approximately 3% a month also demonstrate that with some platform-based investments, you don’t need to be an active trader to see good results. Patience and a long-term mindset matter most. I don’t chase after every market trend or try to time investments. Instead, I set my funds parked in these vehicles, check back regularly to rebalance if needed, and let compound interest do the heavy lifting. One tip: always be mindful of risk versus return and ensure your portfolio matches your personal tolerance and goals. Low maintenance does not mean no maintenance—quarterly check-ins help keep things on track without the overwhelm. Ultimately, if you’re like me, valuing simplicity and steady growth over high-risk ventures or constant market watching, this strategy could work for you. It’s about making your money grow smartly while living your life freely.
