HOW I BECAME A 5AM GYM GIRLIE 🫶🏾 🏋🏾‍♀️💪🏾

1st and most importantly GO TO BED‼️

NOMORE 2am scrolling ❌

Get to bed at a decent hour to get at least 6.5 hours of sleep (8 hours is best but I’m realistic) 🛌

2nd once your alarm ⏰ goes off GET UP don’t hit snooze don’t get 2 more minutes don’t think about it get straight up and start moving

3rd jump straight in the shower it’ll wake your body up 🚿🧼

4th Have clothes already laid out so getting dressed will be a breeze and you don’t have to struggle with choosing what to wear

5th a good pre-workout and warmup to get you in the mood 🏋🏾‍♀️

... Read moreHey early birds! If you've been dreaming of becoming a 5 AM gym girlie but find yourself hitting snooze, trust me, I've been there! It feels impossible at first, but with a few intentional habits, it's totally achievable. I went from a night owl to loving my pre-dawn workouts, and I'm here to spill my secrets beyond just 'getting up early'. 1. Prioritize Your Sleep, Seriously! It all starts the night before. Seriously, prioritizing sleep is non-negotiable. Aim for that 6.5-8 hours. My trick? No screens an hour before bed. Instead, I'll read a book or do some light stretching. Your body needs that deep rest to actually want to wake up at 5 AM. Make getting to bed at a decent hour a non-negotiable part of your evening routine to avoid those 2 AM scrolling sessions! 2. The Alarm Goes Off? GET UP! When that alarm rings (I place mine across the room!), resist the urge to even think about snoozing. Don't negotiate with yourself. Just get up. Swing your legs out of bed and stand up. Motion creates emotion, right? Don't give your brain a chance to talk you out of it; just start moving. 3. The Awakening Shower Ritual My next non-negotiable is a quick shower. It's like flipping a switch! The warm water (or a quick cool rinse if you're brave!) instantly wakes up my body and mind. It's not just about getting clean; it's about signaling to your brain that the day has officially started. I've found it to be the most effective way to shake off any lingering sleepiness. 4. Seamless Getting Ready: Preparation is Key This is where preparation truly shines. Having my 'gym fit' laid out the night before saves precious minutes and mental energy. No fumbling in the dark trying to match socks or find leggings! I also make sure my Apple Watch is charged – don't be like me and forget, or you'll miss tracking those gains. Having everything ready means a breeze of a morning routine. 5. The Freshen-Up & Fuel Ritual Beyond the shower, a quick hygiene routine makes a world of difference in feeling fully awake and ready. I always brush my teeth (hello, Crest 3D White and tongue scraper!) and use my favorite skincare products. Even just a quick cleanse with a facial cleansing brush, some Thayers toner, a serum, and lip balm helps me feel refreshed. And of course, a good deodorant like Suave or Lume whole body deodorant, plus some EOS body lotion and hand creams, ensures I'm smelling nice and fresh for my workout. Before I head out, a sip of water and my favorite pre-workout, like the 'LIFETIME PRE-WORKOUT TROPICAL BREEZE,' gives me that extra boost. 6. Smart Warm-up at the Gym Once I'm at the gym, I make sure to do a proper 5-10 minute warm-up. Often, you'll find me on the Technogym stairmaster, getting my heart rate up and my muscles ready. It's not just about lifting; it's about smart training from the get-go to prevent injury and maximize your session. Remember, you made it here at like 5:20 AM, so make every minute count! Finding Your 'Why' for the 5 AM Club Ultimately, sticking to this routine comes down to your 'why.' For me, it's starting my day feeling accomplished, energized, and having that 'me time' before the world wakes up. It truly sets a positive tone for the entire day. Whether it's the quiet solitude, the boost of energy, or getting your workout done before commitments pile up, find what motivates you. Remember, consistency beats perfection. Start small, celebrate your wins, and you'll soon be a proud member of the 5 AM gym club!
