Hello. I have reported this man for scamming his way through the Pokemon community. He has asked for money more than once and will not give refunds. Please do not buy from him. If you ask for a refund he will say no and ask to send more money! I purchased a ETB from him and keep getting notifications asking for a payment to be delivered from said delivery company and from him. Neither one of them will refund any money. #pokemon#scammer he has a account on TikTok and Instagram his user is Dustin Lester TCG on both platforms

... Read moreHi everyone, building on my initial warning about Dustin Lester TCG, I wanted to share more details to help protect our amazing Pokemon community. It's truly heartbreaking to see someone exploit our passion for cards. After my own terrible experience trying to get a Pokemon ETB, I realized how clever these scammers can be, and it's not just about losing money – it's about trust.
This 'Dustin Lester TCG' character, who operates on both TikTok and Instagram under the handle @dustinlestertcg1, presents himself as a legitimate seller, as if running a “local TCG shop reaching out to the world to make profits” and claiming to “ship worldwide using FedEx.” But don't let that fool you. My ordeal started after I paid for an ETB. Instead of shipping it, he kept sending me notifications, not just from what he claimed was the delivery company, but also directly from him, constantly asking for more payments. It was a cycle designed to drain more money, with the promise that my item would finally ship.
When I realized what was happening and asked for a refund, that's when the true colors showed. Refunds were flat-out denied. He would then pivot, saying if I just sent another payment, the original issue would be resolved, and everything would be sent. It's a classic move: create a problem, then offer a 'solution' that requires more money.
What I learned the hard way is that even if a profile boasts a decent follower count, or has 'professional' looking posts, it doesn't guarantee legitimacy. It's crucial to look beyond the surface. Always be wary of sellers who push for direct payments outside of secure marketplaces, or those who refuse to use buyer protection services. Real businesses want you to feel safe.
If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, here’s what I wish I’d known earlier:
Document Everything: Save all conversations, payment receipts, and screenshots of their profiles. This evidence is vital if you need to report them. The screenshot I shared, warning “TO ALL MY FELLOW ULTRA PREMIUM POKEMON PEEPS THIS MAN IS A 927 SCAMMER DO NOT BUY FROM HIM,” is exactly the kind of direct evidence you need to share with others.
Report Immediately: Contact the platform where the scam occurred (TikTok, Instagram, etc.). Also, report to your payment provider (bank, PayPal). Many have fraud protection.
Warn the Community: Like I'm doing now, share your experience. Your story could prevent countless others from falling victim. Use relevant hashtags like #pokemon and #scammer to reach a wider audience.
Check for Red Flags: Be suspicious of sellers who have unusually good deals, push for urgent payments, or have very little engagement despite high follower counts. A quick search for their username or name with terms like 'scam' or 'review' can often reveal a lot.
Let's all work together to keep the Pokemon trading community safe and fun. Be cautious, be informed, and always trust your gut. Don't let scammers like Dustin Lester TCG ruin your hobby!
