SEPTEMBER DOVES BOOK REVIEW:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

I did get this as an ALC (Advanced Listener Copy) from Netgalley. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! I absolutely loved Rylee Adder and Colton together. In the beginning I disliked Holly Adder so much, but I know what she did was to protect her sister. *WARNING SPOLIER ALERT* I loved that Rylee saved her sister Holly from her ex Logan!! ALSO THAT CLIFFHANGER AT THE END!!

I absolutely loved the narrator Marie Hawkins! She did absolutely amazing and made the story come to life!! She made me fall in love with the story so much!!

... Read moreAfter diving into 'September Doves' by Emmerson Hoyt, I can confidently say this author has a way of crafting stories that just stick with you. If you're like me and always on the lookout for captivating reads, especially after enjoying books like 'Summer Sparrow' or other intense romances, then you absolutely need to add this one to your list. My experience with 'September Doves' was nothing short of a rollercoaster, packed with emotional depth and thrilling moments. What really stood out to me was the dynamic between Rylee and Colton. Their chemistry was palpable, making every page, or rather, every listened minute, an absolute delight. Emmerson Hoyt has a talent for developing characters you genuinely care about, even when they're making questionable decisions. Speaking of which, Holly Adder's initial actions might make you raise an eyebrow, but seeing Rylee step up to protect her sister, particularly from someone like Logan, added such a powerful layer to the narrative. It’s more than just a romance; it’s a story about family bonds and resilience. And let's not forget the spice! The 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 rating is well-deserved, adding that extra layer of intensity and passion that I personally adore in my romance novels. It’s balanced perfectly with the plot, never feeling gratuitous but always enhancing the emotional connection between the characters. For anyone who appreciates a good slow-burn with high stakes and undeniable heat, this book delivers. Another huge highlight for me was the audiobook narration by Marie Hawkins. Her performance truly brought the world of 'September Doves' to life. I've listened to many audiobooks, and sometimes a narrator can make or break a story. Marie Hawkins, mentioned in the OCR, absolutely nailed it, capturing every nuance of Rylee's bravery and Colton's intensity. If you're an audiobook fan, I highly recommend experiencing this story through her voice; it adds so much to the immersion. Now, about that cliffhanger... Emmerson Hoyt left me absolutely desperate for the next book! Knowing this is part of what the OCR refers to as a 'JACEALS AND VIPERS DUET' makes me even more excited to see how the story unfolds. It’s the kind of ending that makes you immediately check for release dates and start speculating with fellow readers. If you're new to Emmerson Hoyt's work or looking for your next addiction after 'Summer Sparrow,' be prepared for an intense, emotional ride with 'September Doves.' It’s a book that showcases the author's ability to weave together romance, suspense, and deep emotional connections, leaving you eagerly anticipating more.
