Posted something similar to my Instagram story but it feels like it needs to live somewhere permanently because 2024 was SUCH a challenging year for me. #fyp #runner #runtok #marathontraining #marathon #marathonrunner #runwithme #runningtips #runningjourney

... Read moreRunning can be both a physical challenge and a mental journey. After facing numerous obstacles in 2024, including an ankle fracture and emotional hurdles, I found my passion for running reignited. Training for marathons is not just about physical preparation but also about mental resilience. My experience began with my first half marathon in 2023, where I transitioned from being a casual runner to setting myself ambitious goals. However, the difficult road to recovery after my injury taught me the importance of patience and self-care. I learned that injuries can serve as a wakeup call for proper training and prioritizing strength over speed. Completing a marathon with just a few months of training pushed my boundaries and highlighted how a proper support system, like my sister's commitment to run alongside me, can enhance performance and motivation. Beyond just a sport, running became a community that rallied around shared struggles and triumphs. This year, I’ll take part in the NYC marathon with Team for Kids, a cause close to my heart. Fundraising for this event is an opportunity not just to run, but to support children’s physical health initiatives. I share my journey to inspire others not only to embrace running but to recognize the strength found in community and perseverance. Let's encourage each other to stay active, share our stories, and push through challenges together!
