I LOVED this book. If you're a fan of werewolf novels, this is for you. I was completely enveloped in the story, twisting and turning through the family dynamics while the main character has her own personal struggles. I also really liked the inclusion of a little romance added to the storyline and not being what the whole story is about. Would definitely reread and will definitely be getting other books written by this author.
Reading "Such Sharp Teeth" truly offers a unique experience in the werewolf genre. What stands out is how Rachel Harrison weaves together themes of family trauma and feminine rage with a darkly humorous tone, creating a story that's both intense and relatable. The protagonist's journey through personal struggles feels authentic, making it easy to connect with her growth and decisions. I appreciated that the romance element wasn't the entire focus but served to deepen character relationships and add emotional layers. This balance adds richness to the narrative without overshadowing the core themes of sisterhood and self-discovery. The book’s ending is satisfying and uplifting, providing a happy resolution that feels earned. From my own experience, the blend of horror elements with heartfelt family dynamics mirrors real-life complexities, making the supernatural aspects more compelling. Fans of werewolf novels who enjoy multi-dimensional characters and stories that tackle trauma with both seriousness and wit will find "Such Sharp Teeth" a standout read. It’s definitely a book I’ll revisit and a prompt to explore more works by Rachel Harrison.
