Gown shirt with blood
The word "family" may hide a deeper wound than any scalpel.
The Saeki family seems like a normal medical family, almost every member of the medical community, but behind the scenes there are secrets and wounds in the heart that never heal.
I was a surgeon, but died suddenly during the operation, and this became the beginning of Yuya's son, who was also a doctor, to find out what exactly happened to me.
My mother, who was a doctor, is currently fighting terminal cancer, and Manami, her daughter, worked as a paralegal but quit because she was pregnant and was facing pressure from her mother that her husband would not accept and want her to have an abortion.
These brothers haven't talked in a long time since high school because of the "being a doctor" feud, and their sister was meant to oppose their father, but their brother broke their back until they both talked again shortly after their father died.
When his brother started investigating, he found out that his death was not just an "operating room accident," but a political game in the hospital where a new professor was to be selected before his father died, one of the favorites was murdered, and after his death, another doctor involved in the surgery died.
The more the investigation finds that the truth is more complicated than thought, and finally, when the answer comes out...Instead, the unsub was someone he "never expected to be associated with."
It's a mixture of intense family drama and medical investigations, the more likely it is to end.
The same writer as the 'secret puzzle file, the trainee doctor, the doctor who wrote the novel, and the writer who "can be a little doctor." 🤣 As a result, the story is very realistic, like an insider telling it to himself.
It may have been a bit of a fuss at the beginning, but when it gets more and more intense, the crux of the father's death, the mother's illness, and the relationship between the brothers makes the story a mixture of family drama and investigation.
There are a lot of medical terms for Kong, 😅 but fortunately the author put a footnote or explanation in the passage, making it easier to read (even though it is still confusing...)
At the end of the story, the truth began to unravel, but I had to confess that the unsub was a soft unsub, because the fuss could have claimed "that." 🙄

A little spoil.

Knowing what "that story" is, I can't help but wonder...Since parents already know that it affects life, why allow "Manami" to be born again!?
Goodreads gave me 4.6, we gave me 4.3.
