นอกจากเรื่องราวของครอบครัวและประเพณีอิตาลีที่อบอุ่นแล้ว หนังสือยังทำให้ผมได้รู้จักกับการสื่อสารผ่านธรรมชาติและสัญลักษณ์อย่างต้นเชอร์รี่ ที่เป็นเสมือนตัวกลางเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ของตัวละครในเรื่อง ในฐานะผู้อ่าน ผมประทับใจวิธีการเล่าเรื่องที่ละเอียดอ่อนและมีภาพประกอบที่ช่วยเพิ่มความน่ารักและชีวิตชีวา นอกจากนี้ การได้อ่านในบรรยากาศหนาวเย็นของเชียงใหม่ยังยิ่งเพิ่มความรู้สึกอบอุ่นและสมจริงอีกด้วย ผมอยากแนะนำให ้ทุกคนลองอ่านหนังสือเล่มนี้เป็นของขวัญใจหรือแม้แต่ให้ตัวเองอ่านในช่วงเวลาที่ต้องการพักผ่อนและเติมพลังใจ เพราะนอกจากจะได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมและความรักในครอบครัวแล้ว ยังได้ซึมซับความหมายของการจากลาและความผูกพันที่ไม่เสื่อมคลาย
