the poisoner is the definition of an incredibly haunting gothic thriller. this had me yearning for more with each page that i read. this isn’t your everyday run of the mill vampire tale. it’s gruesome, terrifying, and yet oddly comforting. Silas may be the bad guy, but his overall character arc left me wondering if i’d fall right into his charm the way Alina did.
It’s been months since i’ve read the poisoner, but i can’t stop thinking about this masterpiece. i’m constantly reflecting back and re-reading passages.
