I so enjoyed Burnout! This was my first book by the author, and I definitely plan to read more. Knox and Avery were such a good pair; they started off rough in their dislike of each other but their chemistry was quickly evident. I loved how Knox took care of his family and fought for them in all they had been through together. They quickly accepted Avery as a part of their group, and one of my favorite aspects of the book was the found family element with the Holland brothers and their people. The sports elements of this book was so fun as sell; we got to see both characters in their elements, which I like actually getting to see in books that are marketed as sports romances. I fell in love with Knox and Avery as they started falling for each other; I’m so glad they got their happy ending!

It wasn't rushed, allowing their amazing banter & chemistry to build naturally, making their eventual connection feel earned and deeply satisfying. I particularly enjoyed how their initial friction gave way to understanding and genuine affection, showing growth in both characters. Another highlight for me was the motocross/gymnast element, as highlighted even on the cover. It’s not often you see such distinct sports brought together, and it added a fresh layer to the typical sports romance narrative. Seeing Avery, the gymnast, take on the challenge of helping Knox, the motocross rider, was fantastic. The trope where she trains him for his sport added a unique power dynamic and allowed for some truly memorable and supportive interactions between them. It wasn't just about their individual athletic pursuits; it was about how their worlds intertwined and strengthened their bond. The found family aspect, especially with the Holland brothers, was another heartwarming touch. It’s a trope I adore, and in 'Burnout,' it was done beautifully.
