Filmmaker David Lynch, known for his surrealist style, films such as Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, and Eraserhead, and the tv series Twin Peaks, has died at the age of 78 just four days shy of his birthday.
Though no cause of death has been given, Lynch suffered from emphysema and in an interview with Sight & Sound Magazine last summer said he could no longer leave his home.
