Can you ever have too many pairs of leggings? 🧘🏽♀️
I love my lulus & alo leggings but the free people leggings have been my new obsession! They’re buttery smooth and keep in place my entire class whether it’s hot yoga, vinyasa, or aerial.
They also have biker shorts that are unmatched! Now that it’s finally getting cooler I can’t wait to mix & match my fav shorts and crewnecks! #Lemon8Box #lemon8boxchallenge

After years of trying many yoga brands, from popular ones like Lululemon and Alo to exploring newer options, I've realized it's not just about the brand name, but how they perform for your specific type of yoga. For hot yoga sessions, breathability and sweat-wicking are paramount. I've found that fabrics like those in my favorite leggings hold up incredibly well, preventing that heavy, damp feeling even when the studio heats up.
For dynamic Vinyasa flows, flexibility and just the right amount of compression are crucial. You need leggings that support your muscles without feeling restrictive, allowing you to move through poses seamlessly. And for aerial yoga, as you can see from my photos (especially those incredible dark leggings with sheer panels!), you absolutely need something that stays put no matter how many inversions you're doing in the white fabric hammock. No slipping, bunching, or constant adjustments are essential when you're upside down!
Everyone raves about 'buttery soft' leggings, and for good reason! It's not just about comfort; it's about how the fabric moves with you. My Free People pair, much like some of the high-end options, feels like a second skin. This sensation is what makes them perfect for long holds or deep stretches on your pink yoga mat. The texture also prevents chafing, which is a huge plus, especially during longer classes.
Beyond specific established yoga brands, or even exploring newer ones like Halara (which many of you might be curious about, I’ve tried a few and while some offer great value, they don’t always match the ‘stay-put’ quality of my current favorites for intense practices), it's about looking for key features. I always recommend a high waist for core support and to prevent roll-down during bends and inversions. Seams matter too – flatlock seams reduce irritation. And for those looking for 'best butt lifting pants,' it's often about strategic seaming and compression in the right areas that give a naturally flattering silhouette, rather than just a specific 'butt-lifting' marketed feature.
Don't forget about durability! You want the best yoga pants for women that can withstand countless washes and intense workouts. I’ve had some leggings pill after just a few wears, which is so frustrating. My current obsessions, though, seem to hold up beautifully. And style-wise, there are so many leggings types now! From classic black leggings (essential for any wardrobe!) to vibrant colors, patterned styles, or even subtle details like the sheer panels you see in some aerial yoga gear, there's something for everyone. Mixing and matching with different tops, like a simple black top or a vibrant maroon top, can also change your whole look. Ultimately, the best gym leggings or yoga apparel for you will be the ones that make you feel confident, comfortable, and fully supported in your practice, whether you're on the wooden floor of a studio or hanging from a hammock in a bright room with large windows.
