Where to have Coffee in CDMX Pt 1 🇲🇽

If you’re in the Roma Nte. area, here are great coffee shops to try! I seriously never had a bad coffee in Mexico City and for that alone, I’d love to move there 😆

Constela Café

Colima 209, Roma Nte., Cuauhtémoc, 06700 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

☕️ Great for some food

☕️ Laptop/work friendly

☕️ Beautiful lighting in the morning

Compay

Tonalá 36 Bis, Roma Nte., Cuauhtémoc, 06700 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

☕️ Good for quick streetside coffee (limited seats)

☕️ They have pastries and cute merch

☕️ Try their taro latte!

CUMBÉ Coffee Roasters

Monterrey 82, Roma Sur, Cuauhtémoc, 06700 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

☕️ Great for a quick bite in the morning

☕️ One of the best flat whites I had in CDMX

Stay tuned for Part 2!

... Read moreI absolutely loved exploring the vibrant coffee scene in Mexico City, especially around Roma Norte! When I was looking for a spot to really savor my morning brew, I paid attention not just to the coffee itself but also the overall vibe and whether it fit my mood. Starting with Constela Café on Colima 209, this place truly lives up to the 'aesthetic' search query. Stepping inside, you're greeted by beautiful natural light, making it incredibly inviting, especially in the mornings. It's definitely one of those laptop-friendly spaces where you can comfortably get some work done without feeling rushed. I observed plenty of people settled in with their computers, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The interior is chic yet cozy, with inviting indoor and outdoor seating options that are perfect for people-watching on a pleasant day. They have a great selection of delicious coffee, and I also noticed their menu had some appealing food options, making it ideal for a light breakfast or brunch if you’re looking for more than just a drink. Next up, Compay on Tonalá 36 Bis offers a completely different, yet equally charming, experience. If you’re searching for a quick, authentic CDMX coffee experience, this is your spot. It has a fantastic local feel, and the focus is truly on the quality of the brew. While seating is limited, with mostly street seating, it's perfect for grabbing a superb coffee on the go. Their taro latte is a unique standout that I highly recommend trying – it's a delightful treat. Beyond the coffee, they also have some really cute merch and freshly baked pastries that are perfect for a quick snack. It’s a great example of a specialty coffee spot that doesn't need a huge, elaborate space to deliver excellent quality. Finally, CUMBÉ Coffee Roasters on Monterrey 82 offers a wonderful balance. The moment you walk in, you feel the warmth of its warm interior with ample seating. It’s a place where you can relax and enjoy your coffee, whether you're catching up with friends or simply taking a moment for yourself. For me, their flat white was truly exceptional – definitely one of the best I had in all of CDMX, showcasing their dedication to specialty coffee. They also have great options for a quick bite in the morning, from pastries to more substantial breakfast items. The vibe here is relaxed and friendly, making it a comfortable spot to start your day or take a mid-afternoon break. All three of these cafes really embody the spirit of Mexico City's thriving coffee culture. Whether you're a digital nomad, a coffee connoisseur, or just looking for a beautiful spot to relax, Roma Norte has something for everyone. I'm already planning my next coffee crawl!
