How I ended up paying $950 to see this house in MX
Luis Barragan’s works have been the sole destinations in my Mexico City list for the longest time - that is until I did more research and found out about the thousand other things you can do in this city!
So - were they worth it? Keep reading :)
Gral. Francisco Ramírez 12, Ampliación Daniel Garza, Amp Daniel Garza, Miguel Hidalgo, 11840 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico
💗 Entry Tickets: Mxn$450 per person, and you must book well in advance! The availability on their website fluctuates ALOT so don’t lose hope if you see “sold out”. Keep checking daily.
💗 Photography Permit: Mxn$500(!!!). You will be given a pink band that staff will be checking if you wish to take photos. Otherwise, the experience is for your eyes only.
💗 Expect to see: A look into where he lived and worked before he died. Beautiful spaces, objects, and art pieces you might even recognize.
Worthwhile for Luis Barragan fans or design fans, otherwise you might not find it worth it - it is one of the most expensive entrance fees we came across on our trip. Is this place on your list?

If you're planning a visit to Mexico City, the Casa Estudio Luis Barragán should definitely be on your itinerary. Not only is it a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it's also a prime example of modernist architecture that attracts design lovers from all over the world. The home showcases Barragán's unique ability to integrate vibrant colors and natural light, giving visitors a deeper understanding of his artistic approach. Entry tickets cost MXN$450, and it is highly recommended to book in advance due to fluctuating availability. If you're keen on capturing the essence of Barragán's work through photography, be prepared to pay an additional MXN$500 for a photography permit. The fee might seem steep, but accessing this hidden gem deserves consideration, especially for those who appreciate design and architectural history. While there, expect to marvel at the intimate spaces where Barragán lived and worked. You'll encounter a selection of remarkable art pieces that speak to not only his aesthetic but also the cultural significance of his contributions to architecture. Keep in mind that this experience may be best appreciated by fans of Barragán or modern architecture; others might find the fees a bit excessive for a brief visit. However, the stunning rosa mexicana, Barragán's signature pink, enhances the allure of the space, making it a worthwhile experience for fans and newcomers alike.

It’s literally not even that expensive pls stop. But did you book through the website or somewhere else because I noticed it’s always sold out
