I Love plaid shirts ❤️
Hey everyone! 👋 You know how much I adore my comfy checked shirts, and I'm so excited to share some of my favorite styling hacks with you all! They're seriously the most versatile piece in my wardrobe, perfect for almost any occasion. My absolute go-to is a classic red plaid shirt. It just screams cozy and stylish! For a super relaxed vibe, I love throwing it on open over a simple white tee, paired with my favorite high-waisted jeans and some sneakers. It's that effortlessly cool look that never goes out of style, whether I'm running errands or grabbing coffee with friends. But checked shirts aren't just for casual days! One of my favorite ways to elevate my look is by layering. If it's a bit chilly, I often wear my red plaid shirt buttoned up, then add a cozy, cream-colored cable-knit cardigan over the top. This instantly adds warmth and a touch of sophistication. It creates such a lovely texture contrast, too – the chunky knit against the crisp plaid. It’s perfect for those transitional weather days when you need an extra layer but still want to look put-together. Another trick I love is using accessories to transform the look. For example, that dark necklace with the colorful oval pendant I often wear? It’s amazing how a simple piece of jewelry can add a pop of personality and pull the whole outfit together. If I want to make my plaid shirt feel a bit more dressed up, I might knot the front of it over a black cami and pair it with a midi skirt and ankle boots, then add that eye-catching necklace. It really makes a difference! Don't be afraid to experiment with different plaid colors too! While red is a classic, I also have a blue and white plaid shirt that feels so fresh and can be styled similarly. Imagine it open over a graphic tee with denim shorts for summer, or buttoned up with black trousers for a more polished, office-appropriate (if your office is cool!) vibe. Checked shirts are also fantastic for seasonal shifts. In autumn, they're perfect for layering under vests or light jackets. In spring, they can be tied around the waist for a cute, casual accessory. The possibilities are endless! I truly believe everyone needs a great checked shirt (or five!) in their closet. They’re comfortable, stylish, and incredibly easy to mix and match. What are your favorite ways to style yours? Let me know!
