Vintage nightgown is absolutely gorgeous!
The bodice is revealing, as it is crocheted.
Flower pattern on the back and front, of the bodice, V neckline, with a pink- peach ribbon to gather.
There appears to once having a button and buttonhole mid way down the front. A tiny button stitched on, would help, if wanted.
There is gathered fabric at the waist, like a pleat? as pictured, which leads down to the hemline.
The bottom is layered with cloth, sewn to a crochet band, then attached to fabric and finished off with another crochet band, with a zigzag bottom.
I found it interesting that they chose to layer the hemline with addition cloth behind it, so it was not see through, unlike the bodice.
As pictured, on one of the arm holes, the crochet looks to have given away a bit.
Measures 6 inches for the arm, 40 inches for the bust, 42 inches in the waist, and is 48 inches long from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the lace hem.
Beautiful piece. I would imagine it has been awhile since it was hand washed. The buyer has that choice to do so.
