For Lae'zel's headpiece and those iconic Githyanki horns, I sculpted them out of clay, molded them, and then cast them in a lightweight resin, which I then attached securely to a custom-fitted wig cap for her distinctive braided hairstyle. But a cosplay isn't just about the costume; it's about embodying the character. I spent time practicing Lae'zel's stoic expressions and confident, warrior-like poses. She's a character who might seem emotionally detached at first, but she has incredible depth and a fierce loyalty that slowly reveals itself. Capturing that balance of strength and underlying vulnerability was crucial to truly bringing her to life. It was a fantastic experience learning not just about crafting, but also about character study and performance.
