During my own visits to Korea, I found that trying various Korean BBQ spots gives you an authentic taste of the country’s food culture – and nothing beats an all-you-can-eat buffet where you can sample different cuts at a reasonable price. The Hongdae Korean BBQ buffet, with its innovative Han River Ramyeon machine, is a fantastic example of how Korean cuisine combines tradition with fun, novel experiences. I loved that the buffet offers different pricing tiers, making it accessible for many travelers. The ramen machine adds a fun interactive element, letting diners customize their late-night noodle cravings. What stood out on this trip was the incredible portion sizes, especially at dinner like the Gajang Masinneun Pig’s feet in Incheon, where the huge servings were great for sharing. One memorable snack I always look for in Korea is Sulbing’s winter bingsu. It’s truly refreshing and a perfect way to balance the hearty BBQ dishes. Despite the variation in street snacks – from hotteok sellers who can be hit or miss, to convenient vending machine drinks at the airport – these local flavors offer a true glimpse into daily Korean life. For fellow travelers, I recommend embracing these diverse eating experiences. If you want to avoid any bland dishes, it helps to ask locals or check Naver maps for authentic recommendations like the ones featured here. Overall, nine BBQ outings in one trip is an exciting way to fully indulge in Korean barbecue culture and the vibrant food scene of places like Hongdae.

Hongdae KBBQ buffet best of the 9 KBBQ 😋
