Gourmand accents attract men with good childhoods

I'm not really into brands so when I find a dupe half the time I don't even know it. But the name of these body sprays I found in Rainbow screamed Sole de Janeiro dupe. And since I already owned the Cheirosa perfume (smells like pistachio ice cream), I figured it couldn't hurt to smell them.

I don't know what I was expecting but they ALL smelled amazing. I went with the Bahia Blossom, a gourmand scent that was right up my alley. I smelled them all from the bottle but this one I sprayed in the store , something I didn't usually do, and I'm so glad I did.

It smelled like fresh baked blueberry muffins and a nice hot coffee with hazelnut creamer 😋 Specific, I know. But it warmed my soul as soon as I smelled it. And then it hit me. This is why the quality of men I attract is changing. My scent game has evolved.

In the past I would always wear something childish that smelled fruity or like candy. But for the past few years I've been giving savory gourmand accents a try. And for the past year I've smelled like pancakes 🥞 You know who makes pancakes? People who have time for themselves. Why didn't I think of this sooner 😩🤔

... Read moreBuilding on what I shared about my Bahia Blossom discovery, let's dive a little deeper into why gourmand scents are absolutely game-changers! If you're wondering 'what is a gourmand scent?' – think of it as a fragrance family designed to smell delicious, like edible treats. We're talking notes that evoke food, often sweet, warm, and utterly comforting. My Bahia Blossom mist, for instance, perfectly captures that cozy bakery vibe with blueberry muffin and coffee notes. It's not just about smelling good; it's about the feeling it creates! Before I fully embraced gourmands, my fragrance wardrobe was pretty much all fruity and light. And while those are lovely, I noticed a real shift when I started experimenting with scents that literally smelled like something you could eat. It's like wrapping yourself in a warm, delicious hug! Beyond the blueberry muffins, gourmand scents often feature rich notes of vanilla, caramel, chocolate, honey, coffee, and even spices like cinnamon or nutmeg. Imagine a perfume that smells like a freshly baked cookie, a creamy latte, or a decadent dessert – that's the magic of gourmands. Why do these scents have such an impact? For me, it's the instant feeling of warmth and nostalgia they bring. There's something inherently inviting and comforting about smelling like a treat. It makes me feel more approachable, confident, and frankly, just happier! And yes, as I mentioned in my post, I've genuinely felt a difference in the energy I put out and the connections I make since my scent game evolved from 'candy store' to 'cozy cafe.' It's not about making wild claims, but about how a scent can truly influence your personal vibe and how others perceive you. If you're curious to try some yourself, there's a whole world out there! My journey started with a 'Solo en Ibiza' body mist, and I've seen other amazing options like Cabana Cloud, Madrid Muse, and Barcelona Bliss from the same line; sometimes you just stumble upon a gem in a store! But you can find gourmand fragrances across all price points and styles. Whether it's a rich vanilla, a spicy caramel, or a unique coffee blend, there’s a gourmand out there for everyone. Don't be afraid to explore. Spritz a little on your wrist and let the scent transport you to your happiest, coziest place. You might be surprised at how much a delicious aroma can uplift your spirits and change your daily interactions. It’s definitely worth a sniff! To pick your perfect gourmand, think about your favorite comfort foods. Do you love the smell of fresh bread, a warm vanilla latte, or a rich chocolate dessert? There's likely a fragrance that mimics that aroma. Try them out on your skin, because scents can smell different on everyone. And remember, a little goes a long way with these often-rich notes. I find them perfect for cooler weather, cozy evenings, or anytime I need a little boost of comfort and confidence. Seriously, if you're looking to switch up your fragrance game and discover a whole new side of scent, gourmand is absolutely the way to go. What's your favorite delicious-smelling note? I'd love to hear!
