The price of oil is soaring! Thai people's bags are shaking the whole country.
The price of diesel in Thailand moved up again to 40 baht per liter. After the Fuel Fund Executive Committee (BMA) passed a resolution to raise the price of diesel by 1.80 baht per liter, resulting in the price from 38.94 baht to 40.74 baht per liter with effect from March 31, 2026 onwards, this hike reflects the pressure of the volatile global energy market during this period.
A major factor comes from the rapid rise in the price of gas oil, reaching about $238 per barrel, from the previous one of only about $90. The situation is the result of geopolitical tensions and uncertainty in the global energy market, which inevitably directly affects Thailand's cost of oil imports.
Despite the public sector's efforts to help support the price by increasing the compensation through the Fuel Fund, increasing the compensation rate from 16.67 baht to 18.76 baht per liter so that retail prices do not soar further, the burden has tightened the status of the Oil Fund. Today, negative funds include more than 2,000 million baht, especially LPG accounts that bear a large amount of core burden.
At the same time, the fund's cost burden has increased steadily from about $1,335 million a day, moving up to over $1,500 million a day, reflecting that the price of oil during severe global market fluctuations has been exchanged for significantly higher fiscal costs.
This situation is therefore a clear sign that, despite the state's efforts to ease the cost of living, global market pressures are still the main factors that are difficult to control and will likely affect domestic energy prices for some time to come if the global situation does not resolve early in the day.
จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวในการใช้ชีวิตและบริหารงบประมาณครอบครัวในช่วงที่ราคาน้ำมันดีเซลพุ่งสูงขึ้น ผมพบว่า ภาระค่าใช้จ่ายโดยรวมในชีวิตประจำวันเพิ่มขึ้นค่อนข้างมาก โดยเฉพาะค่าขนส่งและสินค้าอุปโภคบริโภคที่ต้องพึ่งพาการขนส่งด้วยรถยนต์ดีเซล เช่น ผักผลไม้และอาหารสด ซึ่งราคาสินค้าเหล่านี้มักมีแนวโน้มปรับสูงตามต้นทุนพลังงานที่เพิ่มขึ้น นอกจากนี้ จากที่ติดตามข่าวสารตลาดพลังงานโลก พบว่าความตึงเครียดทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ในหลายพื้นที่ เช่น ในตะวันออกกลาง และความไม่แน่นอนของซัพพลายเชนโลก มีผลทำให้ราคาน้ำมันโลกยังมีแนวโน้มผันผวนสูงต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งย่อมส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อราคาน้ำมันในประเทศ ฉะนั้น การบริหารจัดการพลังงานในประเทศจึงต้องมีความยืดหยุ่นสูงและเตรียมพร้อมรับมือกับความเปลี่ยนแปลงนี้อย่างรวดเร็ว สำหรับผู้ที่ใช้รถยนต์ดีเซลเป็นประจำ แนะนำให้พิจารณาวิธีลดการใช้พลังงาน เช่น การวางแผนเส้นทางเดินทางอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ใช้บริการรถโดยสารสาธารณะหรือแบ่งปันรถกับเพื่อนร่วมงาน นอกจากนี้ การดูแลรักษารถยนต์ให้มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด เช่น การตรวจเช็กลมยาง และระบบเครื่องยนต์อย่างสม่ำเสมอ ก็ช่วยเพิ่มอัตราการประหยัดน้ำมันได้ไม่น้อย ในมุมมองของนักลงทุนและเทรดเดอร์ การติดตามข้อมูลราคาน้ำมันตลาดโลกและวิเคราะห์แนวโน้มพลังงานจึงกลายเป็นสิ่งจำเป็น เพื่อช่วยวางแผนการลงทุนและบริหารความเสี่ยงอย่างเหมาะสม โดยเฉพาะกับสินทรัพย์ที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพลังงาน สุดท้ายนี้ เหตุการณ์ราคาน้ำมันดีเซลพุ่งสูงถึง 40.74 บาทต่อลิตรนี้ เป็นการเตือนใจให้เราต้องตระหนักถึงการใช้ทรัพยากรพลังงานอย่างยั่งยืน และมองหาทางเลือกพลังงานใหม่ ๆ เช่น พลังงานสะอาดหรือเทคโนโลยีพลังงานทดแทน เพื่อบรรเทาผลกระทบทั้งต่อต้นทุนชีวิตและภาระทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศในระยะยาว
