Be Careful Answering Your 🚪 🔔 Creepy Men

I had a scary experience recently that I want to share as a reminder to be cautious when answering your door, especially with door-to-door salesmen.

While I was out walking my dog at lunch, a man saw me and later came to my house. Without thinking, I opened the door. He seemed very out of it was missing teeth had a clipboard in his hand. It was I think trying to sell electricity. I politely told him I’m not interested and I had a work call and close the door.

He returned multiple times, pacing in front of my house and looking at my car, and even left a creepy dollar behind my Ring doorbell.

He looked like he might have been on drugs, and the whole situation freaked me out. while I was presenting to my coworker at this guy, no joke came to my door and I saw him pacing so many times I was terrified. I did call the cops made a report and gave him the dollar with the weird writing.

Please be careful and trust your instincts—your safety comes first.

Lesson learned I will never answer my front door or even answer for my ring camera if a door or salesman ever comes again.

Be safe ladies this summer!

... Read moreIn today's world, being vigilant about personal safety is crucial, especially when engaging with strangers at home. Door-to-door salesmen can sometimes exhibit strange behaviors, which may indicate a threat. It’s important to remain cautious and consider not opening the door without knowing who is there, particularly if they seem suspicious. Factors to watch for include erratic behavior, unusual appearance, and persistence after being turned away. Consider installing security cameras or a smart doorbell camera, like the Ring, to monitor who approaches your doorstep. These devices can enhance your home security and offer peace of mind. Additionally, educating yourself about local scams and safety measures can empower you to respond appropriately. Always trust your instincts; if something feels off, don’t hesitate to contact authorities or neighbors. Engaging local community resources or neighborhood watch programs can build a supportive network reinforcing safety in your area. Sharing experiences like mine helps others recognize potential threats and take action. Remember, your safety should always come first—don’t feel compelled to interact with anyone you’re not comfortable with.

Be careful traffickers will leave things that seem harmless to alert the ones who are to do the grabbing. My sister in law found a tire in her yard we didn’t think anything of it thought someone was dumping since she lives right next to wooded area nope a fire stands for small female
