Fly high sweet Millie
Millie is a kitten that was pulled from the San Jose shelter. She had neurological FIP. I have been treating her for her condition for over a week and she started showing improvement. However, last night she took a turn for the worst. At about 930 last night she gave me a slow blink and passed away. My heart is really broken for her. I tried so hard to keep her going, but her body just couldn’t take anymore. #FIP
Neurological FIP, or feline infectious peritonitis, is a serious viral disease affecting cats. It can cause a range of symptoms, including neurological issues, which make it difficult for affected kittens like Millie to thrive. Recognizing the signs of illness early can lead to timely intervention and care. Millie's journey highlights the importance of seeking veterinary assistance and staying informed about the health of our feline companions. Knowledge about FIP and its implications can empower pet owners to advocate for their pets and understand potential treatment options. Sadly, not all cats will survive this condition, but love and dedication can make a significant impact on a kitten’s quality of life, even in challenging circumstances. For those who wish to help other cats suffering from FIP, consider supporting animal shelters and organizations focused on FIP research and awareness. Every kitten deserves a chance to be loved and cared for. Share Millie's story to raise awareness about FIP and honor her memory in the hearts of those who understand the emotional journey of pet care.
