things that are completely normal in the gym🏋🏽♀️😌
let’s normalize some very common things in the gym! its all okay! 🙂
• making “funny faces” because we’re working hard is so normal. sometimes you got to make a face to get through it!
• not knowing how to use a machine. its 100% okay to ask for help, i usually look up YouTube videos on how to do it. theres so many machines in the gym & it really is okay to not know & to ask for help!
• skin folds, jiggles & cellulite. our bodies are so amazing & so beautiful. they work so hard. it is normal to see fat rolls, to see jiggles & to see cellulite. please dont let that get in the way of loving yourself through your fitness journey.
• trying things & failing. i have been lifting for three years now & i still fail a LOT of things😅. it is 100% okay. we all have those days. sometimes the form isn’t forming & the weight just isn’t moving the way it needs to be. dont give up on yourself!!
• sweat marks. i really could leave it at that because i think all of us know what im talking about😩😂. it’s okay baby you are just working hard. just clean it up before the next person uses it :) all of us sweat & unfortunately i am one of the sweatiest people on this planet (so i decided to move to texas… great idea lol). just clean it up!

Working out at the gym can sometimes be daunting, especially for beginners. It’s essential to remind ourselves that everyone has their unique experiences. Making ‘ugly faces’ while lifting weights is not only common but a sign of pushing your limits! Many gym-goers feel anxious about using machines they’re unfamiliar with, which is why seeking help, whether from staff or through online tutorials, is crucial. Furthermore, let’s discuss body image—seeing cellulite or body jiggles can trigger insecurity but remember, these features are part of our beautiful, diverse bodies that work hard during workouts. Every fitness journey is filled with trials and errors; attempting exercises and sometimes failing is entirely normal. Even seasoned lifters encounter days where their performance doesn't meet expectations. Staying motivated and positive during these times is key. Lastly, sweat marks are a natural bodily response. We should embrace them as symbols of hard work and dedication, while also maintaining gym etiquette by cleaning up after ourselves. By sharing these experiences, we create a more supportive environment for everyone at the gym.
