First trip of 2025 ✈️

📍 City/Country: Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹

My brother is practically a local, he's been to this beautiful country now 8 times!! He invited me this go round and I truly had the best time. I wish it was warmer , I went in late January and it was in the high 50s low 60s - definitely better than the 30s back home though. Summer weather, I hear is breathtaking & also another reason to come back 👀🤷🏽‍♀️ plus, I would love to see the beaches, forests, and other cities!

... Read moreLisbon, often referred to as the "City of Seven Hills", is a destination that captivates visitors with its stunning architecture, rich history, and vibrant culture. Notable landmarks like the iconic Tram 28, which winds through the charming streets, allow travelers to experience the city's unique vibe in a classic manner. If you're a food enthusiast, Lisbon offers a culinary adventure with dishes such as bacalhau à brás (codfish), pastéis de nata (custard tarts), and fresh seafood from local markets. The city's neighborhoods each have a distinct character. Alfama, the oldest district, is known for its narrow alleys and traditional Fado music. Bairro Alto is famous for its nightlife, while Belém boasts historical sites like the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. With moderate temperatures in winter, it's a great time to explore the city without the crowds. However, visiting during the summer months provides a different experience with lively street festivals and beach access. As for travel activities, consider visiting the MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture, and Technology) or taking a sunset cruise on the Tagus River for breathtaking views. There’s also a wealth of outdoor activities, including hiking in nearby Sintra, which is filled with palaces and lush gardens. With so much to offer, Lisbon is a city worth returning to time and again!
