A much needed update
My client commissioned me to revitalize this buffet server. The existing blonde finish had deteriorated over time. She expressed her desire to have it repainted in gray and, if feasible, refinish the wood top. Additionally, she requested that I incorporate a similar design element, as I had done with a previous piece, but this time in a gray painted finish. I assured her that I could accomplish this. Following a thorough cleaning, sanding, refinishing, and painting process, I added the desired details, and the outcome was outstanding. I utilized Kennsington Gray by Rust-Oleum and a custom-mixed stain for the top and interior shelf. Lovely Ledger by Re·design with Prima, along with another retired pattern, was applied to the front and top. To ensure durability, I sealed the piece with Armordilla by Mélange Artisan Mineral Paints. I retained the original hardware and added a gray gingham checked drawer liner.
