This is FAIR 💖

Please read. Please care. Please share. 💖

I’m a mom of four and the creator of the Save FAIR School petition. One of my children is thriving at FAIR Middle School… Excited to learn, safe, supported, and becoming who she’s meant to be.

Professionally, I manage a cancer clinic in downtown St. Paul. Every day, I sit with families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I deliver bad news. I help navigate impossible decisions. I understand that not every story has a miracle ending.

But I also know this: no matter how far a patient’s cancer has progressed, when a patient says yes, we say yes. When they say fight, we fight. We exhaust every viable option to give them a chance at a future, because that is our duty.

I believe the duty of education carries that same level of honor and responsibility. Education deserves that same commitment.

FAIR is not just a school. It’s a place where kids are happy, engaged, and want to show up every day. That is rare. That matters. That is worth saving.

Please don’t let budget lines extinguish a place where children are thriving. If there are other options, we are asking, from the heart, to consider them.

💔 Taking away a school like FAIR doesn’t just close doors. It changes lives.

If you believe children deserve schools where they feel seen, inspired, and supported—

... Read moreAs a parent and community member, I've seen firsthand how schools like FAIR Middle School make a profound difference in children’s lives. Beyond academics, FAIR offers a supportive environment where students feel safe and valued, which is essential for their personal and educational growth. In my experience, children who are excited to go to school every day tend to perform better academically and socially, and FAIR embodies this spirit. The dedication of not only the staff but also the families involved creates a close-knit community that fosters confidence and motivation among students. It’s rare to find a school that prioritizes the emotional and social well-being of its students as much as their education outcomes. The threat of closing FAIR due to budget cuts raises important questions about how communities value education and support for youth. Cutting funding can silence the voices of students who benefit the most from these nurturing environments. It’s crucial we explore alternative funding solutions or community partnerships before any decision leads to closing such vital institutions. Joining petitions, spreading awareness through social media, or attending school board meetings are effective ways to advocate for schools like FAIR. Every action counts when it comes to preserving spaces where children not only learn but thrive. Ultimately, supporting FAIR School means investing in the next generation’s future, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement needed to become their best selves. Let's rally behind this cause and show that our community believes in the power of education to change lives.
