This book so far is deeply amazing. Hagerty does an incredible job marrying her own experiences within South America with the histories she learns of their violence. She connects past to present, bones to bodies and people, and tells their stories. It is a deeply tragic book so far, but it is extremely eye opening, and is reframing my approach to social sciences.
