My Wellness Journey
💪🏾 My Wellness Journey: Becoming the Healthiest Version of Me ✨
This journey has been about so much more than a number on a scale.
I started making changes because I wanted to feel better, have more energy, and become the best version of myself for me and my daughter.
So far, I’ve lost 50 pounds in 6 months … and I’m still going.
What helped me along the way?
✨ Creating a calorie deficit
✨ Making healthier food choices and focusing on clean eating
✨ Adding exercise into my routine
✨ Staying consistent, even when progress felt slow
✨ Learning that small choices add up over time
Was every day perfect? Absolutely not.
There were days I struggled.
Days I had to start over.
Days I had to remind myself that progress is still progress.
But I kept going.
This journey taught me that wellness isn’t about punishment. It’s about taking care of the body that carries you through life.
I’m not chasing perfection.
I’m building strength.
I’m building confidence.
I’m building a healthier future.
And I’m doing it…
One chapter at a time. 💛
Are you on your own wellness journey? What’s one healthy habit you’re working on right now?

Embarking on a wellness journey can feel overwhelming at times, but from my experience, keeping track of what you eat and maintaining a calorie deficit is a great place to start. I found that using a calorie counter app helped me stay aware of my daily intake without feeling deprived. For example, logging meals with specific nutrient details like protein and carbs—such as a breakfast with 84g carbs or a meal with 53.4g calories—can guide better choices. Clean eating was another game changer. Focusing on whole foods and minimizing processed items made me feel more energized and less sluggish. Incorporating nutrient-rich meals and snacks not only supported my weight loss but also improved my mood and endurance. Exercise didn't have to be extreme; even moderate activities like walking, stretching, or light strength training consistently added to my progress. The key was staying consistent and forgiving myself on tougher days. I learned that wellness isn’t punishment—it's caring for the body that powers my life. This mindset shift helped me embrace setbacks as part of the process rather than failures. Lastly, celebrating small wins and appreciating progress, no matter how slow it seemed, kept me motivated. Wellness isn't about perfection but about building strength, confidence, and a sustainable healthy lifestyle—one step, one meal, and one workout at a time.
