At first, just like many who begin, the soreness and muscle fatigue were tough, leaving me to question if the effort was worth it. However, by the end of the first week, I noticed my legs adapting and my sleep quality improving, which was a surprising bonus. By week two, my glutes were definitely activating more during the movements, and I could feel my posture shifting positively as my core strengthened. One of the most motivating aspects of this routine has been the visible changes by week three, where clothes started fitting better and muscle tone was apparent. This consistent bodyweight squat workout targets major muscle groups including the legs, glutes, core, and even the pelvic floor, making it a highly efficient compound movement. Tracking every rep helped me stay accountable and see cumulative progress — 250 squats by week one, 500 by week two, 750 by week three, and 1,500 at the one-month mark. This gradual buildup not only enhances muscle growth but also increases metabolic rate, meaning your body burns more fat even at rest. Incorporating squats as a before-bed ritual also helped me wind down and improve overall sleep quality, likely due to the increased physical fatigue and muscle engagement. If you're looking for a simple yet effective bodyweight exercise to transform your lower body and overall fitness, 50 squats a day could be a perfect start. Remember to maintain proper form to avoid injury and consider tracking your reps to keep motivated. The transformation is not just physical—it's a boost in confidence and well-being that anyone can achieve from home with dedication.
