Sublime Eau de Toilette by Tory Burch
Key Notes
* Top: clementine essence, urban ivy accord, upcycled peach
* Heart: iris, upcycled rose, osmanthus absolute, jasmine sambac
* Base: tethered leather accord, vetiver, amber woods
This is an interesting combination that reads as a very well-mixed sweet alcohol at first. After that I found an underlying London/oxford-like smell, is the best I can conceptualize it as.
Slightly sweet from the rose, old-school with a major woods and leather note.
It smells most realistically like an old wooden chest or wardrobe.
It’s not unpleasant but in a lot of ways it also smells also like a very generic brand-name perfume as the overtone.
Don’t get a really nice masculine scent or any unique attractive scent, or a scent that would be good to cover up other odors like sweat etc.
Personally this is a 5.7/10 for me and would not be worth the price tag.
When I first encountered Tory Burch Sublime, my initial impression was heavily influenced by its presentation. The queries about "tory burch packaging" and "tory burch sublime perfume bottle" really resonate, because the visual experience is often the first chapter in a fragrance story. Personally, I found the packaging quite elegant. The signature orange box with the crisp Tory Burch logo signals luxury, and the thoughtful presentation inside, often with shredded paper, truly makes unboxing feel special. As for the bottle itself, it truly stands out. I love its "unique stacked glass design," which isn’t just visually appealing but also feels substantial and high-quality in hand. The "white and silver cap" adds a touch of modern sophistication, perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic. It’s definitely a bottle you’d want to display on your vanity. Moving beyond the aesthetics to the heart of the perfume – the scent itself. The initial review touched on the core notes, but I want to dive a little deeper. The "key notes" listed – clementine, urban ivy, upcycled peach at the top; iris, upcycled rose, osmanthus absolute, jasmine sambac in the heart; and tethered leather accord, vetiver, amber woods in the base – paint a complex picture. The original review mentioned an "initial sweet alcohol" opening, which for me, quickly transitioned into something more intriguing. I can definitely pick up on the bright clementine, softened by peach, giving it a welcoming, fresh start. As it settles, the floral heart of iris and rose comes forward, but it’s not your typical sugary floral. This is where the perfume gets interesting. The mention of an "underlying London/oxford-like smell" and "old-school with a major woods and leather note" truly captures its unique character. It develops into a richer, more grounded aroma. I personally found that the "wooden chest" and leather notes are quite prominent, giving it a nostalgic, almost vintage feel – like exploring an antique library or a cozy study. While some might perceive its depth as "generic" or not "unique," as highlighted in the OCR, I believe this depends entirely on individual taste. For those who appreciate classic, slightly earthy, and sophisticated scents that lean away from overtly sweet or fruity profiles, this could be a hidden gem. It's "definitely an acquired taste," but for the right person, it could be absolutely captivating. For those curious about "tory burch sublime eau de parfum gift set" options, these sets can offer fantastic value. Typically, they include not just the "tory burch sublime perfume bottle" but also complementary body lotions or travel sprays, allowing you to layer the fragrance for enhanced longevity and a more immersive experience. While the original article reviewed the EDT, the scent profile for the EDP versions of Tory Burch Sublime would likely be similar, often with increased concentration and staying power. In terms of longevity and sillage, I found Tory Burch Sublime (EDT, in my experience) to have moderate wear. It's not an overwhelming scent, making it suitable for daytime or office environments. The woody and leather base notes help it linger pleasantly for several hours. If you're someone who enjoys a sophisticated, warm, and somewhat unconventional scent that evokes timeless elegance, I truly recommend giving Tory Burch Sublime a try for yourself. It might just surprise you.
