Strength in surrender
We often think strength means holding everything together on our own. Pushing through. Figuring it out. Being strong enough to carry it all.
But God works differently.
Our weakness isn’t something to hide — it’s an invitation for His power. It’s where we stop striving and start surrendering. It’s where we finally say, “Lord, I can’t… but You can.”
And that’s where real strength begins.
Not in control.
Not in perfection.
But in surrender.
If you’re feeling weak today, you might be standing right where God’s strength is about to show up. 🤎

It’s easy to talk about 'strength in surrender,' but what does it really feel like? For me, it was a slow, sometimes painful, realization. I spent so long trying to control every outcome, every detail of my life, believing that my effort was the only path to success. But honestly, it just left me exhausted and overwhelmed. I felt constantly inadequate, like I was never quite enough. Then, I stumbled upon the profound truth that weakness is just an invitation for God's power. This wasn't some abstract theological concept; it became my lived reality. I remember one season when everything felt like it was falling apart, and I was at my absolute breaking point. I had no answers, no energy, and frankly, no hope left in my own abilities. That’s when I finally stopped striving and truly let go. I cried out, 'Lord, I can’t do this anymore, but I know You can!' It was in that moment of complete vulnerability that I felt a shift. It wasn't a sudden fix to my problems, but an inner peace I hadn't known before. It was like I was finally giving God space to work, just like the reflection says: 'Surrender isn't giving up, it's giving God space to work.' I realized I didn't have to carry the weight alone. His strength wasn't just for me; it was made perfect in my weakness, echoing the words from 2 Corinthians 12:9: 'MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU. FOR MY POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS.' This journey taught me that true strength isn't about never falling or always having the answers. It’s about recognizing when your own strength runs out and allowing a greater power to take over. It’s a moment-by-moment choice to trust, even when things are uncertain. It’s about loosening your grip, not because you're weak, but because you understand that sometimes, the strongest riders are the ones who know when to let the horse lead for a bit. It’s a dynamic process, not a one-time event, continually inviting divine intervention into the areas where we feel most vulnerable. If you're feeling overwhelmed, or like you just can't keep pushing through, I encourage you to ask yourself: WHERE DO I FEEL WEAK OR NOT ENOUGH AND HOW MIGHT GOD BE USING THAT VERY PLACE TO SHOW HIS STRENGTH THROUGH ME? It’s a powerful question because often, those very areas of inadequacy are precisely where God is waiting to step in and demonstrate His incredible, limitless strength. Embracing this truth has brought so much freedom and peace into my life. It’s shown me that leaning on God isn't a sign of defeat, but the ultimate act of faith, leading to a kind of inner resilience that no amount of self-effort could ever achieve. I truly believe it can do the same for you, offering a pathway to navigating life's challenges with a newfound sense of peace and divine power.
