My 10/10 in k-dramas

okay just a disclaimer: i know that these are really famous shows and that everyone likes them, i'm just saying that these are shows that i could never find boring and want to rewatch. my credentials are also that i'm actually not a huge fan of kdramas because my attention span is too short to keep up with 1hr / show, for 16 episodes, so for a show to catch my eye it really has to be entertaining from start to end

1. business proposal

LOVED BY EVERYONE FOR A REASON!!!!! such a good rom-com and a good slow burn too,, i loved the relationship and chemistry between every single person on the show, but my fav is ha-ri and young seo's friendship because it reminded me so much of my own friendship with my best friend. in terms of romantic relationships though...... i'm a sucker for sung hoon and young seo even though they're the 2nd lead couple😩😩😩😩 overall a lighthearted show that just's super easy to get through

2. twinkling watermelon

i just finished this and i wish i could watch this again for the first time😭😭😭😭 such a warmhearted and refreshing show. watching this show really makes you want to live your youth to the fullest too. both couples on the show were so cute but AGAIN i prefer the 2nd couple HAHAH and i didn't even realise they were the main lead couple till like i went to search up on tiktok BYEEEE the plot of this show also made me realise that fate is fate and we cant really control that (if you believe in that of course)

3. true beauty

one of first ever kdramas and i watched it when it first came out and watched it recently again. ONCE MORE, the chemistry within the whole cast is so great. it was SOOOO hard to be on either of the male leads' side BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH SO LOVABLE😭😭😭😩😩😩🙏🙏🙏 personally i'm a han seo-jun fan..... HAHAHA but i could never hate anyone from being a su-ho fan😭 joo-kyung's character is also so so lovable and to watch her gain her self confidence was so inspiring. soo-jin is my fav female character though just coz when i first saw her i was like "omg she's so beautiful" HAHA and i deeply felt for her character.

4. family by choice

okay i wont lie and say i've finished this BUT I ALREADY LOVE THE SHOW⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5. the relationship and sibling dynamic between the 3 main leads really resonates with me because it reminds me so much of me and my 2 hbs HAHAHA i love found family tropes and this hits the spot. the dynamic between their whole family with the dads too is just so precious and i'm hooked HAHAH i'm so excited to keep watching but i dont want it to end😭😭☹️☹️

... Read moreAs someone who usually struggles to stay focused for long episodes, I was pleasantly surprised by how these K-dramas kept me engaged from start to finish. The romantic comedies, especially Business Proposal, struck a perfect balance between humor and heartfelt moments, with friendships and second lead couples stealing my heart. Twinkling Watermelon offered a refreshing take on youth and fate, making me reflect on my own life and beliefs. Watching True Beauty again reminded me how powerful character growth and self-confidence can be, especially through Joo-Kyung's journey. I’m currently binge-watching Family by Choice, and the found family dynamics tug at my heartstrings—it reminds me so much of my own friendships. The sibling-like bonds and the interplay with the dads add an extra layer of emotional depth that’s rare to find. If you’re seeking K-drama recommendations that deliver on chemistry, emotional storylines, and easy pacing, these shows are definitely worth your time. They also highlight some incredible performances by actors like Kim Se Jeong, Ahn Hyo Seob, Ryeoun, and Hwang In Yeop, blending romance, drama, comedy, and youth themes perfectly. For anyone new to K-dramas or even seasoned fans looking for rewatch-worthy shows that don’t feel long or tedious, give these a try. Personally, the mix of business, romance, and heartfelt relationships kept me coming back episode after episode. Plus, discovering the strong second lead couples in Business Proposal and Twinkling Watermelon was a delightful surprise! Don't hesitate to let these dramas brighten up your watchlist.

In 2024, one comment saying I was “too fat” started my weight loss journey. I pushed myself hard and lost 10kg, but I still didn’t look good on camera. The camera will always be harsher than real life. I keep chasing a better version of myself because I’m destined to stand on the big screen.
