Thanks for coming to my ted talk 🤣 #marvelrivals #healed #cloakanddagger #marvel #rivals #gamergirl #rant
Okay, so I just had to get my feelings out about Marvel Rivals, especially when I'm playing as Cloak & Dagger. It really feels like sometimes you're the only one trying to make plays and secure objectives. I mean, sincerely, your C&D that's carrying is out here trying their best, but it's tough when the team isn't on the same page. I often find myself thinking, 'Why do my teammates keep scattering?' This is a literal team based game, you know? The whole point is to work together, combine abilities, and push objectives as a unit. But too many times, I see players just taking off on their own, chasing kills far away from the team fight, or just not paying attention to pings. It’s so frustrating when I've used my abilities to set up a perfect engage or disengage, only for my team to completely ignore the opportunity or, worse, just run away! As a C&D player, our kit is all about control, support, and setting up plays. Cloak can port allies, apply debuffs, and create space, while Dagger dishes out consistent damage and healing. We thrive when our team is grouped up and can capitalize on our CC and movement. When you're constantly having to chase down teammates who are overextending or trying to 1v3, it makes our job incredibly difficult. It feels like we're always having to compensate for others' mistakes, which just adds to that feeling of being the one who's carrying. For example, when I drop a portal behind an unsuspecting enemy group, I'm expecting my damage dealers to follow through for a quick burst. Instead, they might be off fighting a solo battle on the other side of the map. It's a huge missed opportunity and can turn a winning play into a lost cause. I wish more players would understand the importance of sticking together, especially in a game like this where synergy is key. If I'm setting up a portal for us to flank, please, for the love of all that is Marvel, come through the portal! If I'm rooting an enemy with Dagger's Light Knives, focus fire! Don't just run away from the fight when we have the advantage, or worse, retreat when I’ve just committed my ultimate to save you. It's not about individual glory; it's about winning as a team. We need to be communicating, even if it's just through pings, about who we're targeting or where we're rotating. A well-coordinated push can turn the tide of a match, but it requires everyone to be present and engaged. So, for all my fellow Cloak & Dagger mains out there, how do you deal with these moments? Do you try to adapt your playstyle, or do you just power through, hoping for a better team next match? I’ve found that sometimes trying to ping more effectively or even using voice chat (if available and people are listening!) can help, but it’s not always a guaranteed fix. Sometimes, I try to play a bit more defensively, focusing on peeling for my most reliable teammate, even if it means sacrificing some offensive plays. It's all about finding that balance. What are your best strategies for rallying a disorganized team, or for making sure you're still contributing even when it feels like you're basically soloing the entire match? Share your experiences, because I know I'm not the only gamergirl feeling this frustration and wanting to see more teamwork in Marvel Rivals!
