What made it truly special was being able to combine my passion for paleontology with the Pokémon universe, captivating a room full of enthusiastic fans. Beyond the thrill of presenting, I enjoyed the lively energy of the community, with so many people eager to learn and share their own insights. Preparing for this panel involved deep research into the prehistoric inspirations behind various Pokémon creatures, which not only deepened my appreciation for both science and pop culture but also sparked many engaging discussions during Q&A. I found it fascinating how elements of natural history can be creatively woven into beloved fictional worlds, making learning fun and accessible. For anyone aspiring to present at conventions, my advice is to embrace your unique niche and passion. Authentic enthusiasm resonates with audiences and builds connections. Don't be discouraged if your photo doesn't capture every attendee — the real success lies in the shared moments and impact created. I’m grateful to San Diego Comic-Con for hosting diverse topics that bring communities together, and I look forward to future opportunities to blend education and entertainment on such an exciting platform.
